This site collects personal information only when you send it to us through a form. Here is exactly what that means.

Who we are
Off The Map Productions, LLC operates off-the-map.com, a creative studio website, and Compass, a video production platform currently in private beta. Contact: hello@offthemap.io.
What we collect
We collect the information you submit through our forms. Pages with forms also load a security check to help prevent automated spam.

When a form is submitted, our server also sees your IP address and the time of the request. We use the IP address transiently to limit repeated submissions and to reject automated spam; it is written to our hosting provider's function logs together with the request time and outcome, but not with the contents of your message.
When you submit an inquiry, we may also retain the submitted page path and allowlisted campaign labels (source, medium and campaign) from that page. These are unverified attribution hints, not a browsing history or proof that a campaign caused a sale. We do not store the full page URL, referrer URL or click identifiers for this purpose.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other sites.
How we use it
- To answer your message, prepare an estimate, or discuss a project.
- To review partner applications and administer commissions for accepted partners.
- To send Compass beta invitations and launch news to waitlist members.
- To keep our records of inquiries, leads and partners in our customer relationship management system.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it
Your information is handled by the following services, each acting on our instructions:
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the functions that receive form submissions.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks form interactions for automated abuse. Our server sends the verification token and your IP address to Cloudflare for validation.
- Resend accepts form notifications for email delivery. Provider acceptance does not establish delivery or human receipt.
- Polaris, our own customer relationship management system, receives inquiries, waitlist requests and partner applications so we can follow up. If recording is unconfirmed, an accepted email notification is labeled as an email-only fallback.
Partner payouts are made through Stripe, PayPal or ACH bank transfer according to the method you choose; those providers receive the details needed to make the payment under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Inquiries and estimate requests are kept while we are in conversation and for our business records afterward. Partner records are kept for as long as you are a partner and as required for tax and accounting. Waitlist entries are kept until Compass launches or you ask to be removed. Function logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period under its plan and are then deleted.
Your choices
- Email privacy@offthemap.io to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We review requests unless we need to keep a record for legal or accounting reasons.
- Email us to opt out of Compass launch news or partner communications.
- You can read this site without submitting anything; no account is required.
California residents
We do not sell personal information or enable cross-site advertising or analytics tracking. The security verification described above still runs on pages with forms.
Children
This site is for businesses and adult creators. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted a form, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Contact us if you have questions about how a change affects information you have already submitted.
